Hey, IST!!
We’ve heard there’s been some confusion about IST travel to South Korea for the World Scout Jamboree, so we just wanted to clear the air and share the information below. But first some information about an important task.
THE IMPORTANT TASK
The Korean Scout Association and World Jamboree Planning team, as a part of the registration process, need several pieces of information. It is believed the easiest way to do this is to have all members of IST Team of the USA Contingent “update” their registration records.
Click on “Download Directions” at the Bottom of this email to get directions for getting to your registration record and some hints and tips on answering the questions. Please carefully read the hints and helps on how to answer the question (the column on the right) before you start.
Please do this by Monday, February 13 at 11:59 PM (Midnight) Central Time.
If you don’t know how to answer a question, see the directions!!
Should any IST member have a question contact IST Commissioner Bill Daggett at wwdaggett@gmail.com
IST OPENINGS – Tell Your Friends!!!!
There are still IST slots available. If you know anyone who would be interested please let them know. They can register by going to their my.scouting page using this link: https://events.scouting.org/login Please share the link with them.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
DATES
As an IST member, you’re responsible for your own travel (flights, etc.) to and from Korea. You should plan to arrive at the Jamboree Site on July 29. The first meal service for IST will be dinner that evening. You will be departing on August 13 with the last meal service for IST being breakfast that morning.
Please do not make plans to arrive at the Jamboree site earlier than July 29 unless you receive directions to do so from the JPT/KSA for your Job/Position assignment. Anyone who hasn’t received a Job/Position assignment prior to traveling to the Jamboree will receive their assignment on-site.
Travel dates are different if you’re doing a pre- or post-tour. More information on the exciting IST tours that give a bigger taste of Korea can be found here: https://cvent.me/nPQv7q
SHUTTLE
The Jamboree Planning Team (JPT) and Korea Scout Association (KSA) will operate arrival bus service from Incheon International Airport (ICN) to the Jamboree site for IST arrival and departure. Arrival service will run July 29 to August 1. Departure service will run August 13.
The exact shuttle schedule and whether it will be on a reservation system or a wait in line system has not been released yet.
