25th World Scout Jamboree
The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is held every four years. The Jamboree is an event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), attended by 50,000 Scouts from around the world.
In 2023, it will be hosted by the Korean Scout Association at a new site in SaeManGeum, South Korea. The WSJ offers a wide range of programs, from high adventure to learning about sustainable development. Everyone who attends a World Scout Jamboree leaves with friends from around the world, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Eligibility
Scouts who are age 14 – 17 at the time of the Jamboree are eligible to apply as participants. Adults 18+ years old can apply to serve on the International Service Team (IST). The Contingent Management Team (CMT) will also need adult volunteers to serve as unit leaders for the USA Contingent. Are you thinking about attending or volunteering for the next World Scout Jamboree?
SaeManGeum, Korea
South Korea is a beautiful country with rich traditions and culture. Contingent units will arrive in Seoul through the Incheon International Airport and tour South Korea before the Jamboree. The Jamboree site in SaeManGeum is a state-of-the-art campsite south of Seoul, on the coast of the Yellow Sea.
United States of America Contingent
The BSA International Committee will select leaders of the Contingent Management Team in 2021. The CMT will organize the USA Contingent to the Jamboree. Units will consist of 36 Scouts and four adult leaders. The CMT will coordinate a tour of South Korea prior to the Jamboree experience. Details on logistics, cost, schedule and leadership will be available at a later date. World Jamborees are expensive, so if you plan on attending, it is a good idea to start saving now. The 2015 Jamboree in Japan cost about $5,500 USD per Scout and adult volunteer.
