Today, the Contingent embarked on its first full day of the pre-tour after all Scouts and Scouters arrived into Seoul last night.
After breakfast at the hotel, Scouts loaded onto buses bound for sites across Seoul, South Korea. Units visited sites in different orders, but they all visited the same sites:
N SEOUL TOWER is a communications tower with an observation deck that offers panoramic views of Seoul. Scouts hiked to the tower base, rode a high-speed elevator to its observation deck then rode cable cars down.
MYEONG-DONG is one of Seoul’s primary shopping districts.
GYEONGBOKGUNG PALACE was the Joseon dynasty’s main royal palace.
WAR MEMORIAL OF KOREA memorializes the Korean War.
Tomorrow, units are heading south towards the Jamboree site for more sight-seeing on their second full day of the pre-tour.
